    R. Swami Nathan, M.D., F.A.C.G., Gastroenterologist, Joins Hackensack Meridian Health Mountainside Medical Group

    Montclair, NJ, - (July 2019) – Mountainside Medical Group announced today that R. Swami Nathan, M.D., F.A.C.G., has joined the practice to serve the communities growing need in the field of gastroenterology.

    Dr. R. Swami Nathan received his medical degree from Madurai Medical College and completed his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dr. Nathan has extensive clinical experience in performing various gastrointestinal procedures. He has mastered his skills in procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, spyglass cholangioscopy, feeding tube placement, and small bowel capsule endoscopy. Of his many accomplishments, Dr. Nathan was the first physician in New Jersey to perform capsule endoscopies while becoming a leader in the field.
